The company will look for a replacement for Eton who has been with the company for 16 years

Panoramic Resources Ltd (ASX:PAN) (FRA:YM1) (OTCMKTS:PANRF) will wave goodbye to a key figure in its development when chief financial officer (CFO) Trevor Eton takes his retirement in late January 2020.

Eton has been instrumental in delivering a number of achievements for Panoramic during his 16 years with the company.

Among these are financing, construction and development of the Savannah Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Project in Western Australia’s Kimberley region from which the company restarted shipping ore earlier this year.

‘Critical’ guidance

Eton was also instrumental in the acquisition and subsequent development of the Lanfranchi Nickel Project near Kambalda in WA.

The company reached a market capitalisation of more than $1 billion in 2007 during the nickel era, before world markets were rocked by the disruption of the global financial crisis.

Panoramic acknowledged Eton’s contribution today, saying “Trevor’s leadership, sound knowledge and experience in all areas of corporate finance, treasury, insurance, cost control and equity markets has ensured the company has steered its way through the challenging period post the GFC.

“Trevor’s input and guidance were also critical to securing the financing of the Savannah project re-start. Trevor’s deep knowledge of the resources industry and strong work ethic made him a cornerstone member of the Panoramic executive team and he will be missed.”

Eton will finish up as CFO and company secretary on January 28, 2019, after the company wraps an expected recruitment drive for a “suitable replacement.”

New MD starts in November

Panoramic’s expected new hire for the company will be a second key appointment in three months, with incoming managing director and CEO Victor Rajasooriar expected to join the company on November 11, 2019.

Rajasooriar is an experienced mining engineer with more than 20 year’s operational and technical experience who will take over a post left vacant by long-serving managing director Peter Harold.

Harold gave notice in August 2019 after serving in the role for more than 18 years.

Panoramic Resources will hold its annual general meeting in Western Australia on November 20, 2019 at a City of Perth library at 573 Hay Street, Perth at 11am Western Standard Time (2pm EST).
