ioneer chairman and directors take options in lieu of fees

By taking options over cash, the board has aligned itself with shareholders.

A PFS recently valued the Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project at US$1.82 billion

ioneer Ltd’s (ASX:INR) board of directors have been issued options to the value of $45,000 in lieu of their cash salaries.

Chairman, James Calaway along with the three non-executive directors Alan Davies, Patrick Elliot and John Hofmeister have all been issued 357,710 unlisted options exercisable at 24.2 cents expiring 9 November 2023.

ioneer recently released a pre-feasibility study (PFS) for its flagship Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project in the US state of Nevada modelling a 30-plus-year mine life.

The PFS estimated a net present value (NPV) for the 100% owned project of US$1.82 billion, which is equivalent to over A$2.5 billion.
