Ashanti Gold bolsters board with new director

She holds a PhD from Moscow Lomonosov State University in International Relations and an MA in international finance

Ashanti Gold said it had added Ms. Levashova to the board

Ashanti Gold Corp (CVE:AGZ) revealed it was adding Anastasia Levashova to its board as a director.

Ms Levashova is current a portfolio manager at Blackfriars Asset Management, a fund management boutique based in London, where she specializes in equities investment within global emerging and frontier markets. She holds a PhD from Moscow Lomonosov State University in International Relations and an MA in international finance from Columbia University.

"We are very excited to have Anastasia join our board. She has deep experience in emerging markets and has long-standing relationships with financial institutions, private investors and other capital market participants. She is a great addition to the Ashanti team," said Tim McCutcheon, chief executive at Ashanti.

Ashanti shares are at $0.0085 in Toronto.
