BlueBird Battery Metals Inc (CVE:BATT)  told investors that  Leigh Hughes has become a director of the board.

Australian Hughes has been CEO and a director of COMVERJ Pty Ltd, a boutique marketing communications and innovations firm, since January 2003.

Earlier this year, he was appointed executive chairman of Next Green Wave, a company established to produce and supply medical and recreational cannabis products to patients throughout California.

BlueBird noted that Terence Topping has resigned as a director, and wishes him well in his future endeavours.

The company's goal is to offer shareholders direct and long-term leverage to the price appreciation in nickel and cobalt, two principal materials in EV (electric vehicle) batteries.

BlueBird is advancing its portfolio of battery metals focused assets in Western Australia and the Yukon, Canada, and is currently reviewing new acquisition opportunities to add to its project portfolio.
