Cadence Minerals PLC (LON:KDNC) is now preparing for the start of a drill programme at the Tisová project, in the Czech Republic, in early September following approval by the Department of the Environment and Agriculture.

The project is operated by Auroch Minerals, a company 7.7% owned by Cadence, which has an agreement in place to acquire 100% of the asset.

Auroch, in a statement, confirmed that the Czech authorities had approved a 12 hole programme, for around 5,500 metres, at Tisová which is seen as a large VMS sulphide rich system that was historically mined for copper.

The programme is intended to test extensive sulphides surrounding the copper zones, which have never previously been assayed for associated metals. Auroch noted that the known orebody occurs over 800 metres of strike - 700m down dip, and up to 80m thick.

As well as preparing for drilling, Auroch is currently also completing a 3D model of the extensive underground development and the orebody to underpin its exploration strategy.
