Canadian Projects

Gorilla Lake

The Gorilla Lake Property is a uranium project located in the Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan, Canada, one of the most prolific uranium regions in the world.

Logan has historically referred to the Gorilla Lake Property as the Carswell Property in its public disclosure but has renamed the project to be aligned with ALX Uranium Corp.’s Cluff Lake properties. The Gorilla Lake Property is held 80% by ALX; with Logan having a 20% carried interest through feasibility. ALX is the operator of the Property.

Redford

The Redford Property was a former producing mine with 4,480,940 tonnes produced at 56% iron (BC Department of Mines 1968) with the potential for near-term iron ore production.

 

Logan has a 100% interest in the Redford property which is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island near Ucluelet, British Columbia and consists of 30 claims with a surface area of 11,986 ha. Redford is a former producing mine with 4,480,940 tonnes produced at 56% iron with the potential for near term iron ore production.

Stewart Wallis is the Qualified Person (“QP”) as defined by National Instrument 43-101 for the Carswell and Redford projects. The QP is a member in good standing of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC) as a registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.).

Management

Richard Grayston, PhD, MBA, BComm - Interim CEO and Director

Mr. Grayston has spent thirty years in public company management and as a finance and economics consultant.  He sits on the board of several different public companies. Mr. Grayston received a Ph.D. in finance and economics from the University of Chicago in 1971, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1969 and a B. Comm. from the University of British Columbia in 1966 and became a Certified General Accountant in 1977.

Dr. Craig Bow, Ph.D. - Vice President Exploration

Dr. Bow has over 35-years of domestic and international metals exploration experience.  He obtained his Ph.D. in geology from the University of Oregon in 1979, and subsequently his global experience has extended to over a dozen countries, from greenfield exploration projects to advanced staged development. In the USA, he has direct mineral exploration experience in Nevada and Utah, most recently as a geologic consultant for AngloGold Ashanti. Dr. Bow’s accomplishments over his distinguished career include contributing to the evolution of the Stillwater PGE project from an initial exploration stage to positive production decision, directing Cyprus Amax entry into copper and gold exploration in Peru and Colombia, and enhancing the performance of Newcrest as a gold explorer in South America.  He managed a technically and financially successful gold exploration program in Central America and Canada as Exploration Manager North America for Gold Fields, and provided the catalyst for Gold Fields entry into the Arctic Platinum partnership with Outokumpu.  Dr. Bow will focus on developing and managing the exploration program on the gold projects that are under option from Pilot Gold. Dr. Bow is a Qualified Person with the American Institute of Professional Geologists and is a member of the Society of Economic Geologists.

Carlo Valente, BBA, CA, CPA - Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Valente is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant with over 19 years of international business development, corporate advisory, M&A, corporate finance and accounting experience.  Since 2012, Mr. Valente has been leading the multi-disciplined business development team at King & Bay West Management Corp., a merchant bank and technical services group.  During this time, Mr. Valente has also served as CFO of five different publicly listed and private companies which collectively raised more than CDN$200 million.

Prior to joining King & Bay West, Mr. Valente worked a total of 15 years for the Vancouver and Milan offices of PwC, most recently as managing director in the transaction advisory group.  At PwC, Mr. Valente oversaw teams involved in extensive business, financial, operational, tax and IT due diligence on cross-border transactions for corporations, pension funds and private equity firms.

Carlo graduated from Simon Fraser University in 1997 with a BBA and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2000. He is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Sheila Paine - Corporate Secretary

For the past 9 years, Ms. Paine has acted as Corporate Secretary for a number of public companies trading on various stock exchanges.  Ms. Paine has over 30 years’ experience as a senior legal assistant, specializing in corporate, securities and regulatory matters. Prior to 2007, Ms. Paine was a legal assistant to a senior partner in the securities department of a large international law firm. During that time, Ms. Paine was responsible for, among other things, assisting clients with financings, regulatory filings, administering stock option plans, drafting agreements and other legal documents, and coordinating the papering and closing of various transactions for public companies.

Mark Lotz, CA - Director

Mr. Lotz is a Chartered Accountant with 18 years of experience primarily in the minerals industry and related securities businesses. He has held CFO positions with several well-known mining and exploration companies including African Queen Mines, Sacre-Coeur Minerals, Ltd., and Prophecy Resources Corp.

He has also served as a senior executive officer for two Vancouver based securities firms and a financial compliance officer for the Vancouver Stock Exchange. Mr. Lotz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a joint major in Economics.

Stewart Wallis, P.Geo - Director

Stewart Wallis began his career with Cominco Ltd. carrying out exploration for base and precious metals throughout Eastern Canada.  In the mid 1980s he was Western US Manager for Noranda Exploration and later Vice-President Exploration for Nevada Goldfields Inc, a mid-sized gold producer.  Since 1994, he has been the managing director of Sundance Geological Ltd., a consulting company which provides geological services including due diligence, prefeasibility and NI 43-101 Technical Reports on gold, PGE, uranium and base metal operating and exploration properties located throughout the world.  Mr. Wallis was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Jet Metal Corp. (formerly Crosshair Energy Corp.) (TSX) from 2009 until April 2012, and  from March 2014 until July 2016 he was President and CEO of Logan Resources Ltd. He currently sits on the boards and is a member of the Audit Committees of Jet Metal Corp. (TSX) and  Logan Resources Ltd. (TSX-V).  Mr. Wallis received his B.Sc. in Geology from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. His professional affiliations include APEG B.C.

Olen Aasen - Director

Mr. Aasen is a corporate and securities lawyer with more than 11 years of experience in corporate, securities, mining and regulatory matters. He has been the Corporate Secretary or General Counsel for various Canadian and U.S.- listed mineral resource companies. Olen obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the British Columbia Bar. Olen was named to the 2016 Legal 500 General Counsel Powerlist for Canada
